    Oliveira Confident in Pereira’s Power

Former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira has backed Alex Pereira to defeat Jon Jones if the two ever meet at heavyweight. Speaking in a recent interview, Oliveira expressed full confidence in Pereira’s striking ability, insisting that his fellow Brazilian possesses the power to end any fight with a single punch. “If Poatan lands, it’s over. Whoever stands in front of him is getting knocked out,” Oliveira said, emphasizing Pereira’s devastating knockout record across both kickboxing and MMA.

    Pereira’s Form Strengthens His Case

Pereira recently reinforced his reputation as one of the most dangerous strikers in mixed martial arts by reclaiming the UFC light heavyweight title with a first-round knockout of Magomed Ankalaev. His rapid rise through two divisions and history of finishing elite opponents have led many fans and analysts to speculate about a potential move to heavyweight. Oliveira believes that Pereira’s timing, precision, and composure could pose a serious threat even to the division’s most dominant figures.

A Superfight That Captures Global Attention

A possible showdown between Alex Pereira and Jon Jones has become one of the most talked-about fantasy matchups in combat sports. While no official talks have been confirmed by the UFC, Pereira has hinted at his interest in testing himself at heavyweight. Jones, widely regarded as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history, would bring a different challenge with his wrestling and experience, but Oliveira remains convinced that Pereira’s power could make the difference if the two ever share the Octagon.
