YouTube star IShowSpeed got a crash course in just how dangerous a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt can be when UFC strawweight contender Vanessa Demopoulos made him tap out three times during a comical sparring session at the UFC Performance Institute in Las Vegas.
Demopoulos, who famously swapped life as an exotic dancer for a career in the Octagon, needed little time to assert her skills against the streamer. After pulling him to the mat, she locked in a triangle choke for the first submission, before following up with a head-and-arm choke and a slick armbar. At one point, she even threatened a leg lock before reassuring teammate Caio Borralho that she wouldn’t hurt him.
Despite being overmatched, IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins, gamely kept coming back for more until Demopoulos had showcased much of her submission arsenal. Speaking to his camera after the session, he admitted he felt like she could have broken “every leg in my body.”
Demopoulos praised the encounter afterwards, posting on Instagram: “IShowSpeed came to the PI to have some fun today. He admired that he lost. So much fun!!”
Fans joked that she might have gone a bit hard on a beginner, but the moment added another viral chapter to IShowSpeed’s sporting adventures — and another quirky highlight in Demopoulos’s UFC journey.
