Chuck Liddell has addressed fan concerns about his health and changed speech.
The former UFC champion fought elite opponents during a 21–9 career.
He won the light heavyweight title before three knockout losses ended his first run in 2010.
Liddell returned eight years later to face Tito Ortiz.
That bout ended in a first-round knockout and forced his final retirement.
Fans have shared clips online showing changes in Liddell’s speech.
He recently explained the issue during a podcast appearance.
Speaking to Dominick Cruz on the Love & War podcast, Liddell cited a vocal injury.
He said surgery damaged muscles in his neck and vocal cords.
Doctors told him other muscles would compensate, changing his voice.
Liddell denied that the clips prove brain damage.
He said videos often show normal lapses taken out of context.
He added that such moments unfairly suggest neurological problems.
