Bo Nickal has launched a scathing attack on Colby Covington, claiming the outspoken veteran is currently out of favour with the UFC. The feud ignited during a press conference for a Real American Freestyle event, where tensions flared despite Nickal and Covington not competing against each other. Covington went on to defeat Luke Rockhold in the main event, before calling for a wrestling match with Georges St-Pierre.
Nickal responded by offering to fight Covington at the proposed UFC White House event in June, especially after Covington suggested a move up to middleweight. Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Nickal said the matchup had become personal, branding Covington a “bum” and insisting he would finish him inside one round. Nickal also claimed he has heard the UFC is unhappy with Covington, pointing to comments from Dana White questioning why Covington remains ranked. According to Nickal, the promotion could force Covington into the fight or risk ending their relationship, adding further fuel to one of the UFC’s most unexpected rivalries.
