UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan has revealed a surprising plan for life after his MMA career.
Rising Star Still Chasing the Belt
Tsarukyan has long been among the top fighters in the UFC’s 155-pound division, yet he has never fought for the title. When Ilia Topuria temporarily stepped away, fans expected Tsarukyan to get a shot. Dana White passed him over once again.
Rumors of tension between White and the Armenian fighter circulated, but White recently insisted he has no personal issues with Tsarukyan, despite continuing to block his title opportunity.
Preparing for Life Beyond the Octagon
At 29, Tsarukyan remains in his prime, yet he has already mapped out his post-UFC path. Born into a wealthy family, he doesn’t need to fight for money. Instead, he plans to pursue a passion project: triathlon.
“No, no, I won’t stop training after my career. I’m going to take up triathlon,” Tsarukyan told ACBJJ. “I ride a bicycle well, I swim well, and if I add running, I can travel the world. Competitions connect diverse communities, and you meet different people. It’s such an interesting hobby.”
Despite looking ahead, Tsarukyan remains determined to achieve his UFC dreams. He hopes to become a lightweight champion and eventually move up to 170 pounds to chase a second title.
Competing Outside the UFC
Even without a guaranteed title fight, Tsarukyan is taking on challenges beyond the UFC. He recently accepted two matches outside the promotion. On December 30, he will face fellow UFC star Shara Magomedov in a grappling match. This will mark his fourth grappling contest of the year.
Tsarukyan continues to balance ambition and exploration, building a legacy inside the UFC while preparing for life beyond professional MMA.
