Tom Aspinall continues to struggle with serious symptoms months after UFC 321.
The heavyweight suffered an eye poke in both eyes during his fight with Ciryl Gane.
Doctors ruled the bout a no-contest in October.

Four months later, Aspinall underwent double eye surgery.
He hopes the procedure will resolve symptoms that stalled his career.
He still cannot track moving targets.
His eyes hurt after sending too many text messages.
He experiences vertigo when he changes direction suddenly.
He sometimes misses hands when attempting a handshake.
He even struggles with simple drills and playing with his children.

Journalist Petesy Carroll reported that Aspinall relies on others to drive him.
He currently uses 32 eye drops daily during early recovery.

Rumors also surfaced about his championship status.
Former fighter Josh Thomson claimed Aspinall requested a UFC release.
He alleged the promotion pressured him to vacate the heavyweight title.

    Carroll quickly denied the claim.
He said no one contacted Aspinall about giving up his belt.
He added that no discussions occurred about removing him from the roster.
