Usyk issues stark warning before Joshua vs Paul

    Usyk questions Paul’s survival
Oleksandr Usyk still wants his own clash with Jake Paul, yet he fears that dream may end this month. He recently squared up with Paul to build momentum for a future MMA fight. Now Paul steps in against Anthony Joshua in a fight that looks painfully uneven. Usyk worries Paul may not emerge in one piece on December 19. Their last fight weights show a 52-pound gap, and Paul stands five inches shorter than Joshua.

Usyk highlights a huge size gap
Usyk understands danger when smaller men face giants. He spent 24 demanding rounds with Joshua across two bouts. He captured undisputed status at heavyweight despite giving up size every time. Paul does not share that background. Usyk once ruled cruiserweight and then claimed heavyweight gold while still undersized. Paul arrives without that elite experience.

Usyk told Boxing Scene that Joshua could end Paul’s career if he fought without mercy. He praised Joshua’s Olympic pedigree and dismissed Paul’s blend of athletic ambition and showmanship. He compared Joshua to a luxury machine and Paul to an everyday model. He said he would pray for Paul because he still wants that MMA showdown in the octagon.

    Paul’s short résumé alarms Usyk
Jake Paul turned professional in 2020 after only one white-collar bout. At that stage Joshua had already become a two-time unified world champion. He also held an Olympic gold medal before beginning his professional career. Usyk believes this gulf in experience explains everything and fuels his deep concern for Paul’s safety.
