Rampage Jackson Believes One MMA Promoter Could Rival the UFC’s Power

Former Champion Points to Fighter-Focused Leadership
Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, one of the most recognizable names in mixed martial arts, says there’s only one organization he believes could truly compete with the UFC. The former champion highlighted Bellator’s past leadership as an example of how a promotion can treat its athletes with greater respect and freedom. Jackson said that by allowing fighters more control over sponsorships and personal branding, Bellator showed a level of understanding that larger promotions often lack.

    Criticism of UFC’s Business Practices
Having fought under multiple banners, Jackson reflected on his time in the UFC and claimed the company’s restrictive policies often limit fighters’ opportunities outside the cage. He contrasted that with Bellator’s willingness to collaborate and listen to athlete concerns. “The UFC built a powerhouse, but fighters need more than fame — they need a fair shake,” he said, suggesting that a promoter prioritizing athlete interests could challenge the UFC’s dominance.

A Call for Change in MMA Promotion
Jackson’s comments have reignited discussions about pay, autonomy, and long-term stability for fighters in the sport. While the UFC remains the global leader in mixed martial arts, he believes a competitor emphasizing transparency and shared success could disrupt the balance of power. His remarks serve as a reminder that many fighters still want a system where their voices carry more weight both inside and outside the octagon.
