Jimmy Fallon took aim at the UFC’s ambitious plans for a White House event during a recent episode of The Tonight Show. The late-night host mocked the early visual renderings shared by UFC president Dana White, which showcased elaborate designs for the historic event expected to feature Conor McGregor’s long-awaited return.
“Hey, did you guys see this? Dana White just released the first renderings of the UFC fight being planned for next summer at the White House, take a look at this,” Fallon said, before joking, “Wow. I was afraid it would look ridiculous. Oh my god.”
The event, still months away, has already drawn widespread attention beyond typical MMA fans, in part due to the high-profile fighters involved. Meanwhile, former UFC star Jon Jones remains sidelined from the plans, with Dana White reportedly wary of his reliability. Robert Whittaker suggested on the MMArcade Podcast that Jones’ prolonged inactivity and handling of the end of his career may have strained the UFC’s trust.
As fight bookings continue to take shape, the UFC White House event remains one of the promotion’s most talked-about spectacles, blending politics, pageantry, and the sport’s biggest stars.
