Floyd Mayweather’s four-year-old grandson has already started training in boxing.
Kentrall Gaulden Jr., known as KJ, is the son of Mayweather’s eldest daughter, Iyanna, and rapper NBA YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden.
KJ carries boxing greatness in his blood as the grandson of Mayweather, the undefeated 50-0 champion. Mayweather’s father and uncles also built successful boxing careers, continuing a powerful family tradition.
The legacy now continues with Mayweather personally helping train KJ, who celebrated his fourth birthday in January. Iyanna has shared multiple clips of KJ training at Mayweather’s iconic Las Vegas gym, guided by the undefeated legend himself.
She expressed pride in her son’s early dedication, posting a picture with the caption: “My baby practising how he’s going to climb the ropes after he wins his fights.”
The Boxing Legend Keeps His Gloves On
Mayweather retired after defeating UFC superstar Conor McGregor in their 2017 crossover showdown. Despite retirement, he has continued to fight in exhibition bouts around the world.
His next scheduled fight is against fellow boxing icon Mike Tyson in 2026. Both men have signed contracts, though the exact date and venue remain unconfirmed.
Mayweather, known for his disciplined lifestyle and defensive mastery, appears eager to pass on his experience to the next generation—starting with his grandson.
Family Life in the Spotlight
Iyanna, now 25, welcomed KJ in January 2021 with her ex-partner, NBA YoungBoy. The rapper reportedly has 12 children with ten different women.
NBA YoungBoy left house arrest in April after a 2021 gun-related charge and returned to music soon after, launching a new tour.
As the young KJ trains under his grandfather’s watchful eye, the Mayweather boxing legacy looks set to continue into another generation.
