Karim Henniene enters PFL Africa 3 ready to make a statement and secure his place in the finals. He will face Boule Godogo on October 18th in a semi-final clash. Henniene spoke with MMA Canada about the matchup, noting that both fighters claimed victories on the previous PFL Africa card in July. Both won by split decision, and Henniene shared why he believes his skills give him a clear edge.
Fighters with similar paths
Henniene highlighted the parallels between himself and Godogo. “He has the same background as me in judo. After judo, he moved to boxing just like I did. Our paths are similar, but I’m better in every area. I’m a stronger grappler and a more effective striker,” Henniene said. He emphasized that his combination of experience and versatility will decide the outcome.
Fire against fire
Reflecting on his last narrow victories, Henniene described his mindset for this fight. “This fight will be fire against fire. The explosion will be bigger from my side. This will be my best performance so far, and I can guarantee a finish,” he stated.
Henniene admitted that critics often point out he doesn’t always finish opponents. “I know how to win, but sometimes I avoid risk. This time, I’m taking risks. I’m going for the finish, and the audience will witness a huge ending,” he added.
Karim Henniene enters PFL Africa 3 confident and determined, promising an explosive performance that could secure his spot in the finals and cement his reputation in the league.
