Jan Blachowicz prepares for a tough challenge later this year. The former UFC light heavyweight champion recently teased on social media that he has signed a contract for his next fight. Red Corner MMA reported that Blachowicz is expected to face No. 10-ranked contender Bogdan Guskov at UFC Qatar. The event will take place on November 22 at the ABHA Arena in Doha. UFC Fight Night in Qatar marks the promotion’s debut in the country and represents the fifth event in Asia this year. Fans eagerly anticipate a clash between a veteran former champion and a rising finisher.

Jan Blachowicz Returns To The Octagon

Blachowicz last fought at UFC London this past March, where he narrowly lost a unanimous decision to Carlos Ulberg. The Polish veteran once rode a five-fight winning streak, highlighted by his knockout of Dominick Reyes at UFC 253 in September 2020 to capture the light heavyweight crown. The 42-year-old now faces the toughest stretch of his career, posting a 1-3-1 record in his last five fights inside the Octagon. Blachowicz enters UFC Qatar with a professional record of 29-11-1, claiming 18 victories by finish. His notable stoppages include wins over Luke Rockhold, Thiago Santos, and Nikita Krylov.

    Bogdan Guskov Eyes Another Streak

Guskov last fought at UFC Abu Dhabi in July, where he scored a first-round knockout against Nikita Krylov. The 32-year-old Uzbek fighter lost by submission to Volkan Oezdemir during his UFC debut at UFC Paris in September 2023 but quickly rebounded. He then racked up four consecutive victories, all by stoppage. “Czarevitch” holds an 18-3 professional record, with every win coming by way of finish, including impressive knockouts of Zac Pauga and Ryan Spann. Guskov brings momentum and power, making him a dangerous test for the former champion.

A Clash Of Styles And Experience

The matchup sets up a battle of veteran savvy versus rising explosive talent. Blachowicz carries championship experience and a history of high-profile stoppages. Guskov enters with a perfect finishing streak and youth on his side. Fans expect fireworks as both fighters look to assert dominance early in the fight. UFC Qatar promises to deliver action as the promotion expands into a new market. The November 22 showdown will be a key test for Blachowicz’s return to top contender form.
