Dana White Rejects Report About Date Change And $60 Million White House UFC Event

Dana White confirmed that the UFC White House card will stay on June 14. Reports claimed the date would move to June 26 and costs would rise sharply. White dismissed these claims in a blunt Instagram story post. He insisted that the event will take place on Sunday, June 14.

The promotion reportedly paid more than $20 million for UFC 306 at Sphere in Las Vegas. A new report now claims the White House show will cost $60 million. That figure would dwarf previous UFC event budgets by a wide margin.

Report Claims Date Shift And Massive Cost Increase

Puck News reported that the White House card would move to June 26. That schedule would place the fights on a Friday instead of the usual Sunday. Such a change would break with long-standing UFC scheduling traditions.

White responded directly on social media. He wrote that the media spread false information and confirmed June 14 as the fixed date. His statement aimed to shut down speculation about delays and rising expenses.

June 14 holds symbolic value because President Donald Trump celebrates his birthday that day. Reports say organizers moved the G7 Summit to accommodate the president’s schedule. Sources also claim the UFC will launch the event with a press conference at the Lincoln Memorial. The memorial will also host ceremonial weigh-ins.

Trump Stadium Plan And Fight Card Claims Face Doubts

The report also suggested that organizers scrapped plans to build a temporary stadium on the South Lawn. Current plans would allow fewer than 3,000 ticket holders to attend in person. Organizers would reserve another 1,000 tickets for military members.

Sources indicated that Trump’s claim of eight world title fights was unrealistic. Current plans reportedly include only two title bouts. Dana White confirmed that the event will not be a numbered card or a traditional pay-per-view. He described it as a special attraction event.
