UFC president Dana White has confirmed that the long-promised White House fight card is officially on, following a successful meeting in Washington, D.C. White, who traveled to the nation’s capital to secure approval, announced during an Instagram Live session that the event, set to celebrate Independence Day on 4 July 2026, is moving forward. He described the meeting as going “better than could have been imagined” and promised more details in the coming weeks.
While stars like Jon Jones and Conor McGregor have expressed interest in competing on the historic card, White indicated that Jones’ participation is highly unlikely. The former heavyweight champion and MMA legend recently vacated his title and retired, then briefly reconsidered upon hearing about the White House event. However, White ruled out Jones’ inclusion, saying, “I would not bet on it… If I have to make odds, it’s a billion to one I put Jon Jones on the White House card.”
In other UFC news, White confirmed that Islam Makhachev’s welterweight title fight against Jack Della Maddalena is set for UFC 322 on 15 November.
