Andrew Tate could return to combat sports before the year ends.
The controversial figure draws criticism for his misogynistic views. Still, he maintains a large following among young men worldwide.
Before his rise as an online provocateur, the 38-year-old built a career as a professional kickboxer. He claims a record of 76 wins, nine losses, and one draw, with 32 stoppage victories.
Known as “Cobra,” Tate last competed in December 2020. He secured a second-round TKO under a regional promotion in Bucharest, Romania.
Though away from official bouts since then, Tate often posts sparring clips. These videos remind his fans of his fighting background.
Tate reportedly close to Misfits Boxing deal
On Tuesday, combat sports journalist Ariel Helwani reported new developments. Tate is in advanced talks to fight under Misfits Boxing later this year.
The deal would mark Tate’s debut in the promotion. Sources suggest he could headline a heavyweight clash before 2025 closes.
Reports indicate a possible confirmation could arrive this weekend. The announcement may come during the Misfits Boxing 22 event in Manchester, England.
Legal battles continue for the Tate brothers
Despite his potential return, Tate faces serious legal troubles. He and his younger brother, Tristan, remain under investigation.
Authorities accuse the brothers of crimes including sexual assault, human trafficking, and money laundering. Prosecutors also allege they led a criminal group exploiting women.
Police arrested the Tates in Romania in 2022. They remain under close scrutiny, with another criminal case now active in Florida.
