Ten years ago, Conor McGregor stunned the MMA world with a historic victory.

No one expected anyone to beat Jose Aldo without controlling him on the ground. McGregor ended that assumption in just 13 seconds at UFC 194, stopping one of the sport’s most legendary winning streaks. After the knockout, he consoled Aldo, marking the sudden collapse of one of the most intense fight build-ups in history.

    From champion to superstar

After winning the featherweight title, McGregor quickly celebrated his defining triumph. He focused on a personal reward, choosing a lavish symbol of success. Shortly after UFC 194, the Nevada Athletic Commission released fighter salaries from the MGM Grand Garden Arena event. McGregor earned $500,000, topping the list. This number did not include additional income from sponsorships and pay-per-view revenue, which dramatically increased his total earnings.

A Rolls-Royce to mark the moment

McGregor spent over half of his UFC 194 salary on a Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe. The car cost between $438,000 and $480,000 at the time, reflecting his rising fame. The luxury purchase matched his status as an instant MMA icon. In the years that followed, he expanded his collection with more high-end vehicles, embracing extravagance without hesitation.

    A second Rolls-Royce gift

Before UFC 205, McGregor received another Rolls-Royce, this time as a gift from the brand. The all-black Ghost, worth around $300,000, displayed his nickname and portrait on the side. The gift highlighted his impact on MMA and reinforced his position as one of the sport’s most marketable stars. McGregor had already proven his dominance both inside the Octagon and in the public eye.
