O’Malley casts doubt on potential Topuria–Tsarukyan showdown

O’Malley questions the likelihood of the fight

Sean O’Malley explains why he struggles to imagine the UFC booking a clash between Ilia Topuria and Arman Tsarukyan. He assesses the lightweight division and reflects on the champion’s current situation.

Topuria stands as a dominant force

Ilia Topuria emerges as one of the sport’s biggest stars. He knocks out Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira. He also holds the UFC lightweight crown. Many challengers now wait for their chance at the title.

    Fresh contenders enter the race

Paddy Pimblett and Justin Gaethje appear among the leading contenders. Arman Tsarukyan strengthens his case with a dominant win over Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar. Topuria shows little interest in facing Arman, at least based on recent signals.

    O’Malley doubts the UFC’s willingness

Sean O’Malley shares his view on the potential matchup in a new video on his channel.

O’Malley believes Arman threatens the champion

“Arman is no joke,” O’Malley says in his video. “Arman against Ilia creates a compelling fight. I don’t think the UFC will book it because the promotion values Ilia as champion. He serves as a strong champion, and I don’t think they want Arman to take the belt. He owns a real chance to beat Ilia. I can’t believe I said that. I think Ilia might knock him out, but if anyone at 155 can beat Ilia, it’s Arman.”
