Anthony Joshua Jokes About Free Netflix Account After Signing $65m Jake Paul Fight

Anthony Joshua has just secured one of the biggest paydays of his career – a reported £50m (about $65m) to fight Jake Paul – yet the former heavyweight champion is already asking for an unexpected bonus: a free Netflix login.

Joshua was originally set for a low-profile December fight worth around $1m after more than a year out of the ring. Instead, he now finds himself headlining a blockbuster Netflix card against Paul, earning tens of millions on top of an already vast career fortune estimated at $152m.

But despite the astronomical cheque, Joshua took to Instagram with a tongue-in-cheek request to the streaming giant. With his fight set to air live on Netflix, he posted: “Can I get a company username and password please?”

The 34-year-old has fought exclusively on DAZN in recent years, and it’s unclear if he even has a Netflix subscription – which starts at about $7 in the UK. His joke comes after Netflix reportedly paid DAZN a hefty fee to secure Joshua’s appearance on their platform, similar to previous arrangements for Katie Taylor’s bouts against Amanda Serrano.

Even with tens of millions incoming, Joshua’s playful plea suggests one thing: he’s still happy to save a few pounds where he can.
