Last Sunday, doctors rushed Mexican boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez to a hospital in Culiacan, Sinaloa.
Medical tests revealed he suffered pain from a stone in his left ureter.
Urologist Ivan Aguilar performed the procedure, assuring fans that Chavez would recover fully.
Before surgery, Chavez expressed optimism, thanking the medical team and sending encouraging words to supporters.

    Recovery and Doctor’s Praise

After the operation, Chavez personally thanked doctors Iman Aguilar, Juan Carlos, and lifelong physician Sergio Sandoval.
Chavez highlighted the seriousness of the condition, explaining infection had formed around the kidney stone.
Dr. Aguilar confirmed they successfully removed the infected stone, and Chavez recovered without complications.
The former champion expressed readiness to return to his normal routine and training.

Plans and Optimism for the Future

Chavez aims to hold an exhibition fight on December 13 in San Luis Potosi.
The event will coincide with bouts featuring his sons, Julio and Omar Chavez.
He left the hospital determined and encouraged, assuring fans he will remain active in boxing.
