Gable Steveson will debut in The Dirty Boxing Championship against Billy Swanson on October 30 in Nashville.
Steveson says, “Boxing challenges me in new ways. DBX lets me test myself and show my growth as a fighter.”
He won his pro MMA debut at LFA 217 earlier this month, scoring a first-round TKO over Braden Peterson.
Jon Jones cornered Steveson during the MMA fight, which ended in one minute and 38 seconds and aired on UFC Fight Pass.
DBX Expands to Nashville
Jon Jones, co-owner of DBX, calls Nashville the ideal launch city for the promotion’s national expansion and future international events.
Jones says, “Nashville’s energy and reputation for highlighting talent make this DBX event historic.”
DBX 4 will headline at the Pinnacle, featuring Steveson versus Swanson in the main event.
Unique Rules and Championship Format
DBX fights run three rounds of three minutes, while championship bouts feature five rounds.
The organization defines “Dirty Boxing” as unarmed combat using traditional boxing and other hand-striking techniques within set rules.
Steveson views DBX as a platform to continue evolving as a professional fighter under these unique combat regulations.
